Saratoga is a very affluent and conservative town on the South West edge of Silicon Valley. The flatlands of the city are almost universally populated by large ranch style housing while the foothills and valleys are dominated by large mansions and estate homes, often owned by one or other of the local high tech moguls.

As might be imagined schools are in the top 10 percentile state wide. They are well funded and supported by the parents as needed.

Cultural events are well taken care of ,primarily through concerts and art exhibits at Villa Montavo  a mansion turned into an artist’s residence and art museum. More popular concerts are the fare at the Mountain Winery.  a truly spectacular, newly modernized mountain side amphitheatre with fantastic views across the whole valley.
